Concrete crafts The West Residence Club in New York City

Across 30,000 sq ft the design features several bespokely designed amenities

by Séan Thurgood 27 September 2022

Creating a communal atmosphere with an all encompassing hotel-like service, the building caters to those seeking a social environment and desirable amenities under one roof. Across 12-storeys the structure features 219 residences ranging from studio to two-bedrooms, extensive community spaces and dynamic amenities.

Within the building is The Glasshouse, a freestanding glass-enclosed library with a fireplace, living room, and co-working table. This area is inspired by Scandinavian design with a solarium-like space for residents to socialise or take a moment to escape without having to leave the building. The Glasshouse also overlooks the interior courtyard, allowing natural light in and creating a bright and airy environment.

Upon the rooftop is a swimming pool and lounge area that overlooks the Hudson River and city skyline with outdoor kitchens and dining area and private cabanas. Inside is a fitness centre and yoga studio designed to encourage personal fitness.

Throughout the building are several convenient services such as a pet spa and dog run, children’s playroom, chef’s kitchen, co-working space and a bike repair shop.
