RAMSA launch luxury glass St. Regis Residences in Miami, Florida

As the nexus of design, culture and luxury grows, so does the demand for local real estate

by Séan Thurgood 03 November 2022

Located at 1809 Brickell Avenue, the residences are inspired by the original St. Regis hotel in New York. RAMSA wants to bring the sophistication and glamour of the early 20th century design while incorporating the local Floridian architectural traditions.

The designers focused on creating an elevated lifestyle over the 60,000 sq ft of hand-curated amenities. With independent lifestyle offerings such as a fitness centre, exercise deck, golf VR room, tearoom, sky-level bar and central spa area, residents and guests will enjoy an experience immersed in luxury.

The two towers share a bell-shaped footprint with a sleek, round form that allows for extensive views of the bay and skyline. The gentle curvature of the cascading terrace offers a nod towards the area’s nautical style and proximity to the sea. Within the building the homage to the sea continues with a flowing travertine floor inlaid with fluid bronze lines and undulating stone walls in the reception area that reference lapping waves.

Together we have looked to Miami’s rich architectural traditions, updated for 21st-century living, to celebrate one of the world’s great ports-of-call with geometries evoking two grand ocean liners slipping past each other. These buildings will provide a welcoming, low-scale character on approach from the street or from the bay, while their crowns will mark the site from a distance as a gift to the Miami skyline.

Paul Whalen, Partner, RAMSA

With 149 homes ranging from 2,300 sq ft two-bedrooms, to 8,900 sq ft duplexes, each home will feature copious amounts of natural light and a soft subdued colour palette. Luxury will emanate from the decor including light oak cabinets, bronze fixtures and a stone-topped island in the kitchens, and opulent freestanding bathtubs which lead off from lavish master bedrooms.
