Fuzhou Marriott Hotel Riverside hotel features 318 exquisite modern rooms, three restaurants Goji Kitchen & Bar, Jasmine Chinese Restaurant, The Bao Specialty Restaurant and 1,800 sq m large grand ballroom and meeting room area. Goji Kitchen & Bar is an innovative three-meal restaurant that celebrates the heartwarming notion of homeward migration and family reunions. Named after the goji berry - a symbol of nutrition and longevity- Goji features a contemporary farmhouse aesthetic, combining rural roots with urban features.
Jasmine Chinese Restaurant is named after the Fuzhou city flower - the jasmine. The design is traditional and elegant, with wooden and locally inspired details. The hotel's 318 spacious guest rooms and suites were created to be restful and relaxing sanctuaries for the traveller. Natural colours, comfortable signature bedding, locally-inspired art elements, luxurious marble-clad bathrooms and other thoughtful in-room amenities combine into spaces. The completion date was November 28, 2020.
The design brief is to design a contemporary Marriott branded hotel 45 000 sq m that can articulate Marriott's international brand strategy, philosophy and globally consistent image while incorporate Fuzhou 2,500 years' history and its rich unique cultural heritage as the design inspiration.
The hotel design inherits the Fujian culture and Oriental aesthetics. The whole design of the hotel is inspired by the "Blowing Wind and Floating Water" which highlights the marine culture of Fuzhou as the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road.
