Practice Profile: MAD Architects

Founded by Ma Yansong in 2004, MAD Architects is a global architecture firm committed to exploring the type of ‘dream architecture’ that opens up a dialogue with nature, earth, and sky.

Working across a range of typologies, MAD has been commissioned by clients of various backgrounds for design in urban planning, museums, theatres, social housing, neighbourhood renovations and artworks. Current projects include: the "Lucas Museum of Narrative Art" (USA); "Nanjing Zendai Himalayas Centre" (China); and "Fenix Rotterdam" (Netherlands).

MAD Architects is led by Ma Yansong, Dang Qun and Yosuke Hayano and has offices in Beijing, Los Angeles and Rome.
