From China to the US these projects reflect the trends in designing for the more bespoke space

The Living Art Pavilion is located in an industrial park of Shajing, Shenzhen. Combining functions of culture and amusement, it is the highlight of the industrial park’s upgrading strategy. The Pavilion faces the expressway in the north, with a row of Terminalia mantaly retained right outside the wall at the north. The walls in this direction were specially designed at different heights, which not only lowered the impact of noises from the north, but also formed a beautiful scenery with the Terminalia mantaly outside.

Funded by Governor Cuomo’s NY Parks 2020 initiative. New York State Parks commissioned WXY to design the first vacation cabins and cottages at Wildwood State Park on Long Island, with 10 cabins ranging in size from 670 to 784 square feet. The New York State Parks cabins are designed to provide high quality, affordable accommodations at Wildwood State Park on the Long Island Sound. The exteriors are clad in cedar shingles, with reclaimed mahogany detailing and metal roofing, allowing the structures to fit seamlessly with existing Works Progress Administration (WPA) cabins that date from the 1930s.
