The Gangxia International School - Leigh & Orange Ltd project comprises a 30-classes elementary school and a 9-classes kindergarten. The design attempts to break through the conventional school setting of which classrooms are entirely separated from outdoor activity space. To allow more interaction, semi-outdoor space in various scales is introduced to the project.
Design Engine originally won the commission to design the new state-of-the-art science and mathematics facilities; Charterhouse Science and Mathematics Centre - Design Engine Architects. The School’s aim was to revolutionise the way these subjects are taught at Charterhouse by fostering inter- and intra-departmental collaboration, providing a world-class learning environment for current and future generations of pupils.
The Department of Biology at the University of Washington sees over one third of all students enrolled at UW and is the largest STEM program in the state. In order to meet their growing demand the Life Sciences Building - University of Washington science facility embodies Biology’s core values of scientific discovery, collaboration, active learning, and environmental sustainability. With these core values in mind, a flexible, collaborative and highly sustainable building was designed.
In Yan'an, a famous historic city, it is indeed challenging to design the most important building complex for the new campus of a university with profound heritage. The Library Cluster Design for the New Campus of Yan’an University - Architectural Design & Research Institute of Tsinghua University Co.,Ltd design fully taps the cultural features of Yan'an and the humanistic intention of the university, and makes culture, building and landscape of the campus echo. By such design, the campus is distinguished from the remaining stereotyped new campuses in current Chinese universities.

One of those campuses is The Franklin School - Early Learning Center - RDG Planning & Design , which provides education for young students. The unique building design provides opportunities for formal classrooms and pragmatic learning environments, as well as informal learning spaces, to create an inviting and safe environment for students to learn through discovered.
Just above street level in Hong Kong’s Tseung Kwan O district, is the new French International School of Hong Kong - Henning Larsen campus. The light illuminates an innovative campus for the institution’s primary and secondary school students – a vibrant, sustainable environment supporting a world-class multicultural education. Designed to utilize the natural climate and create organic space among urban surroundings, the French International School provides students with hands-on lessons in sustainability while minimizing its own environmental footprint.
The new Lycée Français Maternelle - b720 Fermín Vázquez Architects school brings forward a dialogue between the historical school and the new one. The formal resolution of the new building evokes the volumetric shapes of the villas through the rounding of its corners establishing a formal relationship without necessarily subordinating itself to a historicist imitation. The design of a large central courtyard of games, not only saves space, but creates a happy, lively environment.
The Creighton University School of Dentistry - RDG Planning & Design was designed with students, staff, and the community at the forefront, this project incorporates innovative learning and service into one state-of-the-art facility. The School of Dentistry is a place where students, clinicians, and patients become partners in learning and practice. The facility provides accessible dental care where students can practice under the supervision of licensed dentists. The group was able to redevelop details, solve technical/aesthetic issues, and feasibility in the face of the beginning of the academic year.
