537 Elizabeth Street is a prototype for a new typology that blurs residential with serviced apartment/hotel living. Situated on a micro inner-city site measuring 6.7m by 29m, the seven-storey building provides 12 highly appointed one-bedroom-plus-study apartments, arranged two per floor with a simple and logical internal arrangement.
Apartment interiors feature a fully curated furniture package together with bespoke joinery components for a wholly integrated outcome. The material unity between the timber-clad interior design and the building’s board-form concrete architecture defines the development. 537 Elizabeth Street is an exemplar for how small residential projects can be a catalyst for urban renewal.
