Hangzhou Joy City is located in an area that used to be a cluster of factories in the history of Hangzhou. The complex with "a new fashion city" focusing on the young group of urban emerging middle class, is not only to provide a shopping place for local residents, but also a regional landmark integrating culture, leisure and entertainment.
The total project area is about 460,000 square meters. To revitalize the former industrial cluster and create another landmark urban complex, the comprehensive development includes nearly 150,000 square meters of shopping center, nearly 40,000 square meters of commercial street, three grade A office buildings and one apartment tower.
Through the concept of “urban living room”, the shopping center, commercial block and towers are developed around it, forming a gathering of people, and naturally connecting various architectural attributes of the project to achieve integrity.
The shopping center with a height of 8 stories and an area of 1450 million square meters is the largest part of the project. For the different types of businesses, 9m wide landscape bridge is set on the third floor to connect it efficiently and interact with people.
For the interior, the circulation leads all the way to shape the more than 50 meters main void of the mall, the main activity center. It has a perfect height and layout for the showcase, branding promotion and activity.
