Through its bold architecture and advocacy for personal accountability over unrestricted energy consumption, the recently-completed Joyce Centre for Partnership & Innovation is creating a new paradigm for sustainable building and learning in North America.
Anchoring Mohawk College’s campus through its iconic design, the building’s sustainable features are prominently celebrated. The facility’s commitment to sustainability is underscored by its role in determining standards for the Canadian Green Building Council Zero Carbon Buildings Framework and its contribution to the World Green Building Council’s “Advancing Net Zero” initiative. A learning and teaching tool, students now operate the facility as part of their curriculum.
