World Architecture News (WAN) has joined forces with Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) in a media partnership.

Will Kendrick, business director, World Architecture News and World Interiors News, said he was delighted to be supporting Clerkenwell Design Week 2019. "CDW is now established as a key event in the design calendar and its expansion highlights the growth of Clerkenwell as a venue for inspirational creativity in London," said Kendrick.  Some 200 architectural practices and 80 leading design brands have showrooms in the Clerkenwell area.

This year CDW plans to mark its 10th anniversary in spectacular style.  Building on its last decade of significant growth it will feature design-led fringe events, workshops, pop ups and installations such as three metre high candle-like beacons to help guide visitors around the exhibition route.

More than 100 showrooms will be open this year, alongside seven distinctive exhibitions covering diverse topics such as international design, emerging talent, lighting and luxury living.

Each year, the World Architecture News (WAN) and World Interiors News (WIN) Awards welcome entries from design studios of all sizes and specialities and offers a fantastic opportunity to gain global recognition and exposure for their work. Entries are now open for the 2019 World Architecture News Awards and 2019 World Interiors News Awards.

All entries will be given maximum exposure to the WAN and WIN global audiences with entries' summaries uploaded to the relevant website and shared across digital platforms. See here for an example summary on a recent entry. Enter by Thursday 16 May to save £100 off the final entry rate.

This awards will culminate with a spectacular one day event at The Vaults, London on Thursday 24 October. The day will incorporate a full exhibition of all shortlisted work as well as judging, networking opportunities and activities which will allow attendees to delve deeper into the stories behind some of the projects on display.  Selected projects from the shortlist will also be used as case studies to explore the day’s key topics including Urbanisation, Energy Efficiency, Technology and Sustainability through a series of Keynotes, Q&As, and Judges’ Insight sessions.
