The World Architecture News Awards (WAN) and World Interiors News Awards (WIN) have been shining a spotlight on the very best architecture and interior design from across the globe for more than 10 years. In recognition of this, and to give the shortlisted work the recognition it deserves, this year’s awards will culminate with a spectacular one-day event in The Vaults at Old Billingsgate on Thursday 24 October.
This will be a rare opportunity to see a significant body of architectural and design projects and witness the incredible value in these awards to inspire, inform and to gain an insight into the future of architectural and interior design.
The event will incorporate a showcase of all shortlisted work as well as judging, networking opportunities and content, which will allow all attendees to delve deeper into the stories behind some of the projects on display.
Selected projects from the shortlist will be used as case studies to explore the day’s key themes including Urbanisation, Energy Efficiency, Technology and Sustainability through a series of keynotes, Q&As, and Judges’ Insight sessions.
"The day's events will bring the shortlist to life", said Will Kendrick, Business Director, WAN and WIN Awards.
“After research and listening to feedback from last year’s awards entrants and attendees, we want to provide a 360° degree experience for the WIN and WAN communities, which will involve learning, networking and celebrating the best architecture and interior design worldwide.
“We are planning a thought provoking agenda of activities for all those who come along on the 24 October. We will give everybody the opportunity, via networking sessions and exhibitions, to see how architecture and interior design is managing worldwide challenges and incorporating fast moving technology into projects.
"The event will also encompass a series of Future Projects categories to ensure we have the scope for all to showcase the outstanding projects in development but not yet built. Come along to learn from your peers, challenge ideas and promote your work”, said Kendrick.
