Patel Taylor architects have created a new masterplan for an area of London Docklands in the UK

London's architectural community is invited to visit the historic Pennington Street Warehouse in Wapping to hear a talk by Patel Taylor architects on the world class masterplan for an area of London Docklands in the UK.

The masterplan is transforming a 15 acre site (formerly the head office and print works for News International) into a thriving new community with 1,800 homes, 180,000 sq ft of commercial space and six acres of landscaped public realm including a major new public square.

The regeneration project by St George will open up the site, once known as Fortress Wapping, to the existing and future local community.

Guests will hear a talk by lead architect Andrew Taylor, see models and computer visualisations of the development and be shown the early stages of this major construction project.

The talk will focus on the contribution that the masterplan will make to the community through the creation of new routes (re-stitching Wapping which has been cut in two by the site), new public realm, homes, jobs, amenities and activities.

Spaces are limited so please RSVP to rosie.day@stgeorgeplc.com by Monday 20 June 2016. More on London Dock Community here.
