In this age of intense urban growth ODA New York createsspaces that allow people to seamlessly connect in all aspects of their lives. ODA New York was founded in 2007 by Eran chen who also serves as executive director.

55 Mercer Street is situated in one of the most historic neighbourhoods in Manhattan – the SoHo cast-iron Landmark District. Originally built from old timber framing, brick exterior bearing walls, and cast-iron façade, the landmarked building constructed circa 1900 contains five existing stories above ground and a new penthouse addition with grand terraces on the roof.

The total building contains approximately 14,000 sq. ft of liveable space, approximately 3,000 sq. ft. of retail space on the first floor and 3,500 sq. ft. below-grade, which the designers discovered was occupied by a theatre company when uncovering the history of the building.
