Designed by Samoo Architects & Engineers, the Gachon Hall is the new headquarters building that symbolizes Gachon University’s future with its strong & simple geometries. Located in the center of the campus with a grand plaza, the monumental building is easily recognized from anywhere within the university campus.

The design process initiated with the study of relationship between indoor & outdoor spaces. From the entrance of the campus, a unique underground facility links the various buildings of the campus and gradually leads pedestrians to the Gachon Hall. The design of the building integrates various sustainable technologies to lower energy usages such as the stone based louvers on the front façade.

The variety of facilities inside the building is optimized for accessibilities in a pleasant environment that promotes interaction & communication among students. With the symbolic Gachon Hall built, the new university is currently preparing a new masterplan that ensure the continuous expansion of facilities that should support the sustainable growth of the university.
