Renaissance London has launched their brand new showroom to house a new lighting range. Founder, Owen Pacey has been sourcing, installing and producing premium original and reproduction fireplaces, unbelievable lighting, mirrors and architectural salvage for over 25 years. With pieces sourced from all over Europe, Renaissance London has built a unique reputation as one of the foremost experts in antique fireplaces and fine architectural pieces in Shoreditch, London. Owen has gathered a host of high profile international projects and clients from One Hyde Park to Shoreditch House, from Gilbert & George to Georgia May Jagger.
Based in an iconic converted pub on City Road, the showroom is on the ground floor with a basement warehouse and Owen Pacey lives in the stunning flat above. The showroom has been completely restructured with reinforced ceilings to accommodate a brand new intake of stunning salvaged lighting from around the world. From 1950s Sputnik chandeliers to the original 1970s Woolworths red neon letters, the showroom reflects the eclectic mix of finds with every piece owning its own design story. Encaustic tiles contrast with the classic wooden floors and stunning lighting hangs above Georgian and Victorian restored and reproduction fireplaces. The warehouse is located next door to the showroom, in one of the only buildings left in Shoreditch where artists are still in residence. An Aladdin's cave of architectural salvage from Pacey's travels around the world, this area is undergoing a refurbishment also, which will be complete in early 2015.Photography: Ray Main
