On Friday 14 March, the Ideal Home Show will kick off at Earls Court in London, bringing together artists, architects, interior designers and other creative professionals in residential design to share their ideas and inspirational projects. One of the main attractions at the show is a collaboration between Blue Forest Luxury Treehouses, John Lewis and Quiet Mark (headline sponsor): The Quiet Treehouse.
The Quiet Treehouse is a freestanding treehouse constructed using Kebony, an eco-friendly material that is created by enhancing the properties of sustainable softwood species until they are similar to that of a tropical hardwood. As Kebony weathers, it develops a shimmering silver-grey patina which adds to the magical element of a treehouse escape.
During the Ideal Home Show the treehouse will be filled with quiet gadgets from the likes of Dyson, Lexus, Smeg and Philips, with visitors encouraged to follow a Quiet Trail Treasure Map to discover these John Lewis products throughout the Show. The Quiet Treehouse is one of three collaborating firms involved in the project and is the official mark of approval from the UK’s Noise Abatement Society.
Once the treehouse has finished its stint at the Ideal Home Show it will be donated to the Chestnut Tree House, a children’s hospice in Sussex for the use of residents and their families.
