This development by PTEa will create a new mixed-use urban block on Pentonville Road mid-way between Kings Cross and Angel. The site is close to one of Europe’s major regeneration areas, within walking distance of London’s new transport hub and enjoys great views towards St Pancras Chambers. It is currently occupied by dilapidated commercial buildings and car parking.
The development will include 123 mixed-tenure apartments, over 1,000 sq m of office space, and replacement facilities for a car hire business currently on site.
The design features a series of distinctive buildings, which vary from five to ten storeys and respond to the three very different street contexts around the site. The residential foyers give access to a landscaped courtyard with terraced gardens and play space. Apartments are arranged in five core-access ‘mansion blocks’ and range from studio flats to large family apartments and spectacular duplex penthouses.
The space standards of all the homes, regardless of tenure, meet or exceed the LHDG requirements, and additional amenities for the private flats include a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, swimming pool, gym, and cinema room.
