This project is renovation of a second-hand house that was made by the two by four method.

htmn designed the second floor in which a young couple wanted to live with their daughter. 2x4 houses have been popular on account of speed and easiness of construction. However, it's difficult to change the plan of the house when it comes to future renovations.

htmn created an open space by removing the existing ceiling, and
built new ceilings across the five rooms with spaces between the ceiling and walls.

Openings within the inner walls were installed alongwith a long desk that pierced through three rooms, a living room, a study room and a bedroom. The kitchen counter also crossed the border of each room.
