Paul Clemence and Aksel Stasny present latest film material in 'Still Movement'

This short film is a collaborative masterpiece by acclaimed photographers and visual artists Paul Clemence and Aksel Stasny, bringing together Clemence’s visionary shots of a wide range of buildings (J. MAYER H. Architects’ Metrosol Parasol shown here) with Stasny’s refined film sensibility to great effect.

Bringing architecture and photography to life, the images in Still Movement are ‘excerpts’ of architectural structures by some of the biggest names in the business, including Sir Norman Foster, Coop Himmelb(l)au, Juergen Mayer H., Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry.

The visuals are overlaid by ‘appropriate minimalistic tunes’ from electronic audio artists Taylor Deupree and Stephan Mathieu, as Clemence divulges: “Like the seduction of music, we relate to architecture without even realising, without focusing on it…my work aims at capturing that elusive moment.” View a short clip below.
