WAN AWARDS Colour in Architecture now open for entries until 31st October 2011

WAN are pleased to announce the launch of the all-new Colour in Architecture award, set to become one of the most exciting and inspirational of all the award sectors.

We passionately believe that the use of colour in the built environment will be increasingly important and integral to the way our cities evolve in the next few decades, especially with the benefit of new technology, both in surface coatings and LED façades.

For some time now, pressure has been building on the use of glass facades in commercial buildings as unsustainable, tired and to some, dated. We aim to collate possibly the best selection of contemporary projects from around the world to highlight what can be achieved with both discrete and bold use of colour as an alternative.

The WAN AWARDS Colour in Architecture category is a major international competition that celebrates and promotes the best in architecture that benefits from using colour as a part of the scheme, attracting entries from all over the world and providing a global platform to showcase your designs.

All projects that have used colour as an integral part of its scheme are eligible for the award.
