The Commercial Sector covers all retail, leisure, hospitality and other commercial projects. For the 'completed' category, if you have designed a building of one of these types, whether an office building, shopping mall, bank, hotel, retail outlet or any other commercial project that has been completed during the last three full calendar years, (on or after January 1st 2008), you can now enter for the WAN AWARDS Commercial Sector 2011.
If you have a design for a commercial project that is yet to be built - even if it may never be built - you can now enter your project into the 'unbuilt' category for the WAN AWARDS Commercial Sector 2011
Any commercial projects that meet the above entry criteria can be entered for the WAN AWARDS 2011 Commercial Sector. This includes all offices, retail outlets, shopping malls, hotels, leisure facilities, theme parks, banks, cinemas, cafes / restaurants and other commercial projects.
2010’s entries saw the stakes raised higher than ever with projects from all corners of the globe, including practices in Bahrain, South Korea, Germany and the United States. Top of the completed category was ingenhoven architects’s European Investment Bank HQ, Luxembourg , whilst the unbuilt winner was awarded to Haeahn Architecture + H Associates for their KEPCO Headquarters, Naju, South Korea .
