Clients for the project, Brookfield Europe said today that KPF would remain as sole architects for the Pinnacle. Ashley Muldoon, Managing Director of Brookfield Constructions said: “KPF is remaining on the Pinnacle project to complete it. Brookfield thinks the best way forward for the project is to remain with the architect that designed it.”
Former KPF President Lee Polisano, together with Partners David Leventhal, Fred Pilbrow, Karen Cook and Ron Bakker announced their departure on 22 September to set up PLP Architecture. The decision by 'mutual agreement' was taken following a rejected bid to take over the London office in early summer this year.
The Pinnacle, currently being built in London's business centre, will be the tallest tower in the district spiraling 287 metres from its base, and will neighbour Norman Foster's Swiss Re (Gherkin) building.
