Sean Coulter, AIA - President of AIA Las Vegas stated: “Unbuilt Las Vegas is a very special exhibit. Some may question why we have an ‘unbuilt’ awards program and the answer is because it stimulates the imagination, expands the horizon of what is possible and generates new thinking. These projects are theoretical, academic and unbuilt projects that are quality design...but for various reasons may or may never become reality."
The jury for this year’s Unbuilt Awards included Ric Licata, National Director for the Western Mountain Region, nationally recognized sculptors Neil Shigley and Jon Koehler; and Steve Van Gorp, Deputy Director of Business Development for the City of Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency.
