77 Hudson is comprised of two 49-storey towers - one with 420 homes and the other with 481 apartments - joined at the base by an 11 level parking garage. At first glance, the project appears as what it is - a dumbed down developer building where cost concerns rule the day. Yet, in spite of its bulky and rather non-descript appearance, Cetra/Ruddy was able to endow the project with a bit of panache as evidenced in the design of the units, which have a modern urban feel.
The apartments range in size from a 500-sq ft studio to a three bedroom penthouse unit and are priced from $500,000 to $2.75 million. All have open kitchens and spa-like baths. The kitchens feature Italian cabinetry, stone or quartz countertops and wood floors. The master baths are finished in light-toned materials and have chiseled quartz walls, wood vanities and double trough sinks.
Among the building’s amenities are an 8,300 sq ft spa/fitness center and a half-acre park located atop the building’s parking garage that features a heated outdoor swimming pool, a quarter-mile running track, a dog run and a barbeque pit.
