WAN's annual competition draws record number of entries

WAN is pleased to announce the long list for House of the Year 2008. This year's competition has been the biggest ever, attracting a record number of entries from every continent across the globe. The quality of entrants has been higher than ever before, so much so that this year we have decided to extend the long list from 25 to 30 projects.

The long listed projects will now go forward to WAN's House of the Year jury panel, due to meet on Tuesday 10th February. The jury will select 6 of these projects for the shortlist, which will be published in News Review on Tuesday 17th February. The winner will be announced the following week, again via News Review, on Tuesday 24th February.

The remaining five schemes from the shortlist will be commended, whilst the winner will receive a £1000 prize and an etched glass House of the Year plaque.
