Bangkok to build world's tallest observation tower

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Bangkok's local government, plans to build the world's tallest observation tower in the Thai capital city according to Bangkok newspaper, The Nation. The current tallest man-made observation tower, the CA Tower in Toronto, Canada, stands at 1815 ft tall with its observation deck at 1398 ft.

Thailand's own tallest tower is the Baiyoke Tower in Bangkok which is the world's third tallest solely-hotel building at 1076 ft. It is not yet known who will design the ambitious project in Bangkok but according to Deputy Bangkok Governor, Bannasopit Mekwichai, "The BMA City Planning Department has surveyed the capital and has already come up with some recommended spots."
