Dubai World Trade Centre District designed by Hopkins Architects

Hopkins Architects have been appointed for thefirst Phase of the Dubai World Trade CentreDistrict, which is at the heart of the new businessdistrict in the city. This is arguably the mostimportant area of real estate in the Gulf and theMiddle East.

The design will feature a balance of public andprivate spaces creating a unique mixed-useurban quarter of offices, apartments, hotels andretail use. The design includes a seriesof internal and external public spaces with treelinedstreets, light filled atria and rooftop gardens;places for people to live, work and enjoy life.The project will provide a unique human-scaledurban environment with over 1 million squaremetres (10 million sq ft) of developable area.The office buildings will be designed to the bestenvironmental standards to achieve “LEEDPlatinum” status.

Development statistics:
Grade A1 Offices: 200,000 m2
Hotel: 2 five-star hotels proving a total of 1,000keys
Apartments: 2,000 apartments
Retail: 32,000 m2 of double-volume units
Car parking: 8,300 spaces underground
