House on the outskirts of Cairo

Saturday 06 Oct 2007

A private residence on the outskirts of Cairo on the midst of vast plam trees groves.

The project is an extension for an existing house with the aim of adding more living space that can accommodate the everyday activities – eating, reading, working and entertaining more people, while enjoying the surrounding palm tree groves and gardens, Extending the new living space into the garden was built on a study of the morphology and organization of the old house, which gave us a location in where the addition should be. Connecting terraces to the living spaces to take the advantage of the surrounding garden views was offered.
