Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects' new HQ due to open Spring 2008

A topping out ceremony for the new Monsoon Accessorize headquarters building marks a key stage in phase one of Notting Hill Village W11, the massive mixed-use development by leading architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris. The ceremony will include the symbolic planting of a leaf from a yew tree in concrete by Peter Simon, Chairman of Monsoon Accessorize. The 300,000 sq ft site, which will house B1 offices, loft apartments, a restaurant and B1C studios in addition to the Monsoon HQ, is due to complete in Spring 2008. Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, who worked on the existing Monsoon Building in Paddington, are creating an iconic concrete lattice framework building for Monsoon Accessorize with 125,000 sq ft of space spread over seven open plan floors, arranged around an atrium that will house the Monsoon Art Collection. The Notting Hill Village W11 buildings are being let by agents Pilcher Hershman, specialist commercial property consultants responsible for sourcing spaces for creative businesses, including the Louise T Blouin Institute adjacent to Notting Hill Village W11, the new Saatchi Gallery, Mother’s offices in Shoreditch and M&C Saatchi’s building in Soho.
