Concept competition

Friday 02 Jun 2006

Options: Base Camp Everest, UNDP World Waters Embassy HQ and a Thames Gateway Opera House

The inspiration for 'Line of Site' came when an architect was seen sketching out some ideas for a new building on a napkin. It is this essence of creative spontaneity and simplicity that line of state is trying to capture. The competition is based on sketching - not fully developed designs, and consists of three original briefs.Open to all, the competition offers the opportunity to stretch your creative mind to the full. The buildings won’t be built - the aim is to see what you think is possible. The reward will be set by sponsoring organisations that are recognised as design leaders and true innovators - and they have put together prize packages.Four winning entries from each of the three briefs will go on to the grand final event in October.
