Jerwood Medical Education Centre

Regent's Park

28 October 2005
The Jerwood Medical Education Centre, is a new three storey building for postgraduate education with the state of the art lecture theatres, a library and offices for the Royal College of Physicians. The site had remained empty since the 1970's despite the endevours of several other architects to obtain consents for a variety of schemes, all of which had failed. Russell Taylor obtained planning permission in difficult circumstances and the Jerwood Centre is testament to the practice's deep understanding of historical precedents and the type of architectual responses working in such locations requires.
