For over a decade the WAN Awards have evolved into the world’s largest international architectural awards programme and we are now just a month away from our second awards ceremony
The WAN Awards showcase the very best in international architecture with categories ranging from Residential and Landscape to Adaptive Reuse and House of the Year. The ceremony at the London Hilton Bankside, SE1 0UG on Tuesday 20 November will take the form of a black tie sit down dinner. The event will bring together leading architectural professionals to celebrate great design as entrants, judges and clients from across the globe gather under one roof in central London to celebrate their success.
By attending this event, which is rapidly becoming a must in any architect’s calendar, you will be the first to hear who has won in each of our large range of categories and the impressive grandeur our unique venue in central London will provide the perfect opportunity to entertain, impress and inspire outside the usual work environment.
The standard of judging for the WAN Awards is always extremely high. Chris Williamson, Partner, WesternWilliamson+Partners was a Juror of the Transport Award in 2016: "Judging the awards was an inspiring way of seeing in detail the variety and creativity of transport projects throughout the world. The standard was very high and it was gratifying to see the attention to detail and effort, particularly on the smaller projects, making all the difference in offering the user a more pleasurable transport experience.”
You only have to look back at last year’s event to see why this evening attracts architects from as far afield as Australia and Ecuador who gathered in magnificent surroundings to be the first to hear who had won in each of the categories covered by the WAN AWARDS.
Over 200 architects, designers and clients soaked up the impressive grandeur of the London Marriot Hotel and took the opportunity to network and make new friends from across the globe as the evening’s host, historian and TV presenter Suzannah Lipscomb guided the crowd through a roll call of architecture’s best of the best.
Shortlisted architects are already booking their places for this year’s event and they will be able to meet and network with judges and prospective clients on the night, however a limited number of places are available to the wider architecture community.
