In what has been predicted as a ‘Game Changer’ for Toronto’s property market CetraRuddy are creating a new residential landmark in the city

With over $2.1 Billion in development in just six years, Adi Development Group’s latest venture enlists internationally-acclaimed NYC architects CetraRuddy for an iconic site at 64 Prince Arthur in Toronto, Canada.

Bringing a progressive approach from the real estate capital of the world to the legacy site, CetraRuddy’s impressive portfolio features Manhattan’s most iconic luxury residences including One Madison. Located on a defining city block in Toronto’s prime Yorkville neighbourhood, the project will mark the firm's first building in Canada.

“We are thrilled to bring a piece of New York with CetraRuddy to Toronto and introduce a new level of luxury and design to Canada. 64 Prince Arthur will be our company’s most ambitious development to date – it will be a game changer for the city’s existing marketplace,” said Tariq Adi, CEO of Adi Development Group.

Adi entered the Canadian real estate market as a leader. With a keen ability to anticipate and move quickly on market demands, Adi has successfully understood what buyers need before many other seasoned industry players.

Recognizing a gap in the luxury real estate market led to the company’s Decemeber 2016 acquisition of the Prince Arthur address. Plans for the site include the creation of a boutique luxury product that has never been seen before in Canada.

Building on their New York experience in urban architecture, CetraRuddy brings a proven approach to creating a new luxury prototype within a dense city context. “Our practice is grounded in developing a unique responsive solution to local context,” said Nancy Ruddy, co-founding Principal at CetraRuddy Architecture.

“This will be our first building in Canada and our intent is to add to the vibrant fabric of this global style neighbourhood through an exploration of the lifestyle and architectural history of this part of the city,” she added.

Adi’s decision to commission CetraRuddy follows an extensive selection process of internationally-recognized firms. “Our aim is to create an iconic legacy project in Toronto while at the same time paying respect and having sensitivity to the evolution of Yorkville,” said Saud Adi, COO of Adi Development Group. “Nancy Ruddy and John Cetra understand neighbourhood context and their commitment to socially responsive design was a very important factor in our final decision-making."

Adi Development Group’s mission is to build exceptional forward-thinking and sustainable residential communities. Adi is a well-respected developer known for its various projects in Burlington, Ontario including Nautique Lakefront Residences, LINK Condos and Lofts and Stationwest (Burlington’s most successful master-planned community). Working together with CetraRuddy on the company’s first venture into Toronto, Adi will host a series of public consultations later in the year to collect community input prior to a design submission to the City.

“We are excited to work with Adi on this inspiring and exceptional new residential landmark for the city of Toronto,” said John Cetra, co-founding Principal at CetraRuddy Architecture. “Our company’s tradition of quality-driven architectural innovation that leads to exceptional value and magnetic communities, will help create a memorable and successful new residential typology,” he said.
