World Architecture News and UK Construction Week continue their successful collaboration

For the third year running, World Architecture News is delighted to announce its appointment as a major media partner of UK Construction Week. The event is the country’s largest and most important built environment industry event bringing together over 650 exhibitors with an audience of over 30,000 trade visitors and AEC professionals. UKCW will once again take place at the NEC in Birmingham from 10 to 12 October 2017.

As the industry faces the unique set of challenges resulting from the political uncertainty created by the recent result of the UK election and the changes that will result as the country moves towards BREXIT, attendance levels at the event are surely set to grow.

This year, UK Construction Week will sponsor three WAN AWARDS categories: Concrete (for the 2nd year running), Transport and Adaptive Reuse. There will be three WAN AWARDS sessions on the Main Stage, and the Adaptive Reuse category will also be judged on-site during the show.

Commenting on the partnership between World Architecture News and UK Construction Week, Nathan Garnett, Event Director at UKCW said: “We’re thrilled to be working with World Architecture News for a third consecutive year. The WAN AWARDS is a truly prestigious awards programme for the architecture community, and we look forward to unveiling the winners of the International Transport Projects, Concrete and Adaptive Reuse awards at UK Construction Week this October.”

Michael Hammond, co-founder and Editor in Chief of World Architecture News commented, “We’re delighted to be working with UKCW again. It’s vital for the UK to have a national platform to address the ever changing challenges that the industry faces and our role of bringing an international perspective has never been more important.”

We very much look forward to meeting you in Birmingham and sharing ideas and thoughts at the event.
