Stantec have been selected by Terra Group As Executive Architect for Eighty Seven Park, Miami Beach

Stantec, the global architecture and design firm known for the most progressive, amenity rich residential buildings throughout the USA, has been selected as Executive Architect by developer Terra Group to collaborate with Pritzker Prize-winning Italian architect Renzo Piano on Eighty Seven Park, the luxurious new $120m residential project located at 8701 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. As a result, Stantec’s Miami office will be working closely with Terra Group, Renzo Piano Building Workshop and the City of Miami Beach executing the design concept.

The 20-storey beachfront structure will feature 70 spectacular condominiums ranging from 1,400 to 7,000 sq ft. The residences will offer expansive floor plans, massive outdoor living areas, ten-foot ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows with unobstructed views of the ocean and intracoastal, Miami skyline, and the nearby North Shore Open Space Park. The 202,400 sq ft project is estimated to be completed by December 2017.

“Working daily with Renzo Piano’s team in Paris has been an honour. The result of our architecture married with his design will be a building that blurs the line between indoor and outdoor living, immersed in a park-like environment,” says Alejandro Hoch, senior design manager, Stantec. “Perfecting the spatial relationships between the residences, common areas and amenity spaces was very challenging, but the end result should be both stunning and peacefully harmonious, flooded with reflective sunlight from the ocean.”

“Stantec was chosen for the Eighty Seven Park project because of its reputation and experience in Miami, collaborative in supporting the design intent but also enhancing the architectural vision,” stated Antoine Chaaya, Partner at Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Paris. “Stantec’s positive spirit, professionalism and dedication, combined with a desire to optimize technical and economical solutions, is without weakness.”

Stantec, a recognized national leader in architecture, design and engineering, is working on other prominent projects throughout Florida, including Luma at Miami Worldcenter; Solitair in Brickell; Pearl at Midtown 29, Midtown 8 and Eve at District 36, all in Midtown Miami; AER in Downtown St. Petersburg and Tampa; Jade Signature in collaboration with Pritzker Prize-winner Herzog & de Meuron; and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach in collaboration with Italian designer Piero Lissoni.
