Al Ain villa by Circle West Architects rests gracefully on desert horizon in UAE
The new villa designed by Circle West Architects is intended to extend space and perspective through exterior walls and spaces. The architectural forms evoke a strong linear contrast to the natural desert.
Cantilevered forms and spaces were developed to enhance solar orientation, maximising daylight and views, while minimising heat gain. Spaces between interior and exterior will develop a natural flow to integrate the reflective qualities of movement in the desert.
The Al Ain New Villa will offer comfortably rich spaces, which have a sophisticated exterior skin, while creating a transparent building form resting appropriately on the horizon. The material selection represents long-lasting high quality materials, which will weather over time.
The exterior skin and structure will be made up of an indigenous, local cement material to withstand the extreme temperature and climate fluctuations in the desert.
The glass system will be of a high quality, low-reflective material with structural glass fins to support the wide expanses of glass. Warm colours for cabinets, furniture, fixtures, and wall coverings are envisioned to compliment the design experience.
