Ambitious and remarkable residential project completed in London’s prestigious Highgate
Bliss, the creative force behind the project 25 Hurst Avenue is a property consisting of two separate family residences, each 4,000 sq ft of inspiring and innovative space. Based on a modern sustainable lifestyle, 25 Hurst Avenue is a refreshing, original and distinctive property built using innovative, sustainably focused construction process methods and materials which form the core of the development.
These methods allowed for a short and efficient build programme where the main superstructure took six men just six days to build a modern masterpiece with minimal space, noise and disruption to the local community.
This inspiring environmentally-friendly development features a number of cutting-edge materials, including the award-winning sustainable alternative to tropical hardwood and preservative treated wood, Kebony. 25 Hurst Avenue is the first UK residential project for the Cleantech 100 company, Kebony ASA. Its non-toxic, maintenance-free, durable and aesthetically pleasing wood product has been used throughout for exterior cladding, outdoor decking and garden furnishings, such as the post box, garden gates and refuse bin stores. Kebony has a minimal carbon footprint, producing just 10% of the CO2 emissions of the production of Brazilian Clear Fell Ipê.
Daniel Broch, Founder of Bliss comments: “Our design ethos and aspirations drive our thinking where we are determined to provide elegant, contemporary spaces fit for 21st century living; 25 Hurst Avenue reflects our thinking perfectly.”
Jan Terje Nielsen, Director of Marketing for Kebony comments: “We are delighted to work so closely with Bliss on such a forward-thinking project as 25 Hurst Avenue. We are very proud to contribute not only to a property that has such superb design and aesthetic credentials, but one that is so ground-breaking on an environmental level.”
