WAN AWARDS Civic Buildings sector open for entries until 30th June 2011

Today World Architecture News celebrates the launch of the Civic Buildings sector 2011, rewarding outstanding projects across the world that go above and beyond to enhance the public realm. One of the more varied categories in WAN’s ever-expanding awards scheme, last year’s shortlisted projects included a convention centre, a national portrait gallery, a theatre, a temple and a sports stadium.

So high was the calibre of 2010 entries that our esteemed jury panel felt compelled to award three winners rather than the conventional two (one completed, one unbuilt). Top of the completed category was Robert Simeoni Pty Ltd Architect’s Seaford Life Saving Club, whilst our pair of unbuilt winners were Hariri Pontarini Architects’ Baha’i Temple for South America and Samoo’s New York Korea Center.

The WAN AWARDS one of the most cost-effective means of getting worldwide exposure for your project and firm. More developers and clients are now using WAN to source architects and with over 860 entries from 51 countries, our awards scheme is officially the world’s largest architectural awards programme.

The deadline for Civic Building entries is the 30th June. You can find all the information you need by clicking here, but please contact if you need any help or advice.

Good Luck!
