Internal and external spaces flow easily into one another at private residence in west LA

Becker Blanchard Properties developed the Kilrenney residential project designed by IKONIKO in the Cheviot Hills neighbourhood of west Los Angeles. This simple private house experiments with space, blurring the lines between indoors and outdoors.

Contemporary, open floor plans allow the house to take full advantage of its hillside location by orienting spaces and views towards the surrounding landscape. Five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, two living areas and an oversized office tuck neatly into the 3,950sq ft house.

Large-scale windows and sliding glass doors allow lifestyles of leisure and work to expand out to the exterior.  All spaces have access to a variety of patios and balconies, allowing unexpected perspectives of Los Angeles and a fluid relationship between internal and external spaces.
