Catholic Church in Uruguay is a real crowd pleaser
Over the last four weeks the WAN Poll for Project of the Year 2007 has been received by thousands of architects worldwide. The voting is now over and the project with the most votes is the Catholic Church, Colonia in Uruguay.
Congratulations to Iris Hoffman for voting for this project and winning a new iPod Touch.
She had this to say about the Church:
"It's a small and simple building that respects its environment but still has a certain presence within the community and offers an interesting interior space. The orange colour looks very cheerful and stands in nice contrast to the blue sky. I like the fact that from the beach you can only see the cross peaking out of the trees."
