The 18-storey concrete and steel structured business center is planned to be one of the landmarks of the developing business world in Almaty. The "Living Box" overcomes the contrast between "stable" and "temporary" that necessarily emerges from the rapidly transforming life-styles of our times. The main mass is broken into smaller but integral fractions; common areas and circulation alleys re-define the unity. Individual boxes, which stick out like colorful Lego structures, allow separate sections to preserve their exclusivity; architectural expression of separate facilities of different brands become clearly legible as a result of unusual arrangement of dissimilar boxes at range of sizes and colors. Preserving the nature entity and creating shared spots; random vertical gardens enrich the façade. Spacing between the units links the building with the sky and its environs. Controlling the sunbeams, the movable shutters bring in a changing texture to the façade and works as an alternative cladding. The building gains different character at night due to ample lighting and signage.
