HKS, Inc., are appointed as architects for the prestigious Manadrin Oriental
HKS, Inc., a leading architectural design firm recognized among the top firms in the country, has been appointed as architects for the prestigious Mandarin Oriental, Costa Rica, a new resort development scheduled to open in 2009.
Located in the northwest corner of Costa Rica in the Papagayo Bay, Mandarin Oriental, Costa Rica will be the cornerstone of the exclusive 538-acre gated golf and residential development, Rancho Manzanillo, which features branded Mandarin Oriental residences, beach and golf villas, and exclusive private homes.
The deep ravines, steep cliffs, volcanic black-powder sandy beaches, and dense jungle environments filled with exotic wildlife are the inspiration for the architectural designs that will make this resort so distinctive, according to project designer Steve Doyle. The 130-room hotel property will be divided into sections including a main building, detached guestrooms, specialty and luxury suites, spa, three dining outlets, and a conference-event center. The main building will house 66 guestrooms, all of which offer bay views due to a single loaded corridor. The presidential suite, which is its own building, will offer guests privacy, seclusion, and the ultimate luxury experience.
