Ayers/Saint/Gross create plan of unprecedented scale

Ayers/Saint/Gross is overseeing the Campus Master Plan and Architecture for Vedanta University, a multi-discipline university in India envisioned to be among the highest caliber institutes in the world. Built around several colleges and ‘Centers of Excellence,’ its diverse student body of over 100,000 will have a campus wrought with meaning – every geometrical shape in the 8,000 acre plan hints at their mission to promote world-class education, globally-relevant research, and societal values. Underpinning the design is a powerful ‘green’ agenda that strives to create a sustainable pedestrian-orientated campus. The campus is surrounded by seven townships with a total population of 500,000.
