Willow House is a single residence set in green belt. The brief was to create a modern residence for extended family living. The original brick cottage was radically transformed by removing the middle section of the building and replacing it with a double height pitched section, with glazed gable ends. Inside the use of high quality robust material like oak and zinc, combined with lots of glass, creates a contemporary aesthetic that sits well with the traditional origins of the house. Internally, clean white and grey lines mix with oak wrapped into the double-height reception from outside to create a simple elegant, yet warm interior.
