Federation Tower, designed by German architects Schweger Partner and nps tchoban voss architects BDA for client Mirax Group will rise to 340 metres, higher than the Foster designed 260-meter (850-foot) Commerzbank tower in Frankfurt. It is claimed that the futuristic, glass-clad building will be able to withstand a 911 type impact. It will house offices, a hotel and luxury apartments along the Moscow river in a western region of the Russia capital. The building features twin, sail-like towers, attached to a central 430-meter stiletto-like spire ringed by pillars. The central site is only four kilometres from the Kremlin.
