O’Donnell + Toumey’s Stirling Prize entry is the new Lewis Glucksman Gallery at University College, Cork. Located within the curtilage of the protected structure of the nineteenth century quadrangle, the building is a strategic element in the conservation of the landscape setting of the lower grounds and its integration with the College Campus. The brief required a solution that would, “Provide a cultural and artistic centre on the University campus which would link to the wider community and become an important civic space in Cork.”
