Stable Hands
Friday 21 Apr 2017

The intention of this café concept was to retain and highlight the heritage bones of the old stables, to embrace the ethereal natural light and create a really clean, contemporary, light aesthetic in contrast with the rustic, heavy textures of the existing building.

AJCD incorporated lots of custom details throughout the fit-out which are functional as well as beautiful, and have been executed with incredible precision and masterful skill. The palette of brass and white-oiled ply with slimline stone and steel angled profiles layered gently against the rustic textures of the limestone walls and jarrah floors to create a subtle, serene ambience.
