Kasian design luxury office for Telus staff

When TELUS called upon Kasian to create the interiors for their new corporate hub in the heart of downtown Toronto, Canada, they had one clear vision - connecting their team with the community. A true showpiece, the TELUS House Toronto transforms the client and TELUS team experience into a mesmerizing, productive and refreshing environment. The goal of the telecommunications company was to create a TELUS branded environment, centralizing 15 Greater Toronto Area (GTA) TELUS locations and 2,000 employees. The resultant 440,000 square foot workspace leverages technology to support the way their team members want to work - whether in the office, at home or on site with clients - while continuing to connect virtually with colleagues across Canada. And when they're not hard at work, TELUS employees can relax and enjoy the kind of healthy amenities most office workers only dream about; a wellness centre complete with a fitness studio and massage/physiotherapy rooms; a gourmet kitchen; a prayer and meditation room; an outdoor patio and herb garden; and three flora-filled green roofs.

While both the interiors and exteriors are an oasis for the TELUS staff, the design-focus of all 13 storeys was quite clearly developed with their customers in mind. From the dramatic 30-foot-high main lobby, to the Innovation Centre, to the various workspaces that showcase emerging communications technology, every space in this building demonstrates the spirited business that is uniquely TELUS. Along with capturing TELUS’s spirit, Kasian created a captivating architectural reflection of TELUS' brand promise, drawing inspiration from the sustainable features of the base building. Using 25-30% less energy than conventional office towers, the project was a LEED Gold triumph for the entire team. A culmination of sustainability, comfort, flexibility and technology in the workplace, the TELUS House Toronto ushers the community into the high performance world of TELUS.
