Queen shoes is a retail project which is heavily influenced by architect Guilherme Torres's sci-fi centric youth.
The shop's futuristic theme is achieved by a geometric movement which stems from eighteen 42cm wide white segments which compose the walls and ceiling.
The shop façade is the first segment and it introduces itself as a solid structure sculpted in order to create the entrances and the following segments obey the same pattern.
The cashier's counter follows the segment patterns and comes to life as a detached sculpture in the centre of the shop. Behind the counter, a panel hides a staircase which leads to a storage room and a mezzanine
Due to energy efficient lighting design the there has been a 70% economic reduction on the lighting and air conditioning.
