The final version of the Rama chair was presented at the Salone del Mobile di Milano 2014. Designed by the Ramos Bassols studio, it was a case of love at first sight, or rather, at first email between the studio and Kristalia. It took just one email presenting the design and an immediate spark was struck between the pair. The products designed by the studio have clear-cut lines that are also warm and attractive, perfectly matching the style of Kristalia.
Hence Rama was created, a chair with simple graceful lines, which is perfectly stackable for residential use or the contract sector. This chair is the outcome meticulous attention to detail from the designers and the technology used by Kristalia from the outset. It is a return to wood processing, typical of the area where Kristalia has its headquarters. It is also almost a wish that the ‘chair triangle' can return to the glories of the past (80% of domestic and 50% of European chair production).
The result is a stackable chair featuring a curved multi-plywood structure, or in injection-moulded reinforced polypropylene. The structure is available with many options: with four legs or on a slide frame in chrome-plated metal rod or lacquered in the same colour; with solid wood legs; with or without armrests. These versions can also be provided with fabric padding for the seat, making Rama versatile and easily incorporated in various interior spaces.
